Take one handful of comedians, add a dash of local music, and blend until you have an unforgettable night of entertainment. Dip in chocolate, sprinkle with a hefty donation to charity, and you’ve got Chocolate Coated Evening, the most delicious fundraiser Melbourne’s ever seen!

With fantastic local talent providing lots of laughs and catchy tunes, the amusement doesn’t end (until the show is over, at which point the entertainment will actually have to stop) - come by and see internet sensation Tom “Frezned” McLean, funny foreigner European Man, award-winning comedian Max Attwood, and enjoy the musical stylings of Sarah Jane Haywood, Ross Unger & Cameron Jackson, and many more!

This once-in-a-lifetime night of high quality hilarity and funky, funky beats (rumoured to be the funkiest beats Australia has ever seen) is hosted by We Should Know Better’s Peter C. Hayward, and is guaranteed to knock your proverbial socks off.

Don’t miss it.

(Unless you’re really attached to your proverbial socks.)

All proceeds go to charity.

Over the next few months, Jim Jam Impro is running games intensives - $5 workshops, teaching every impro game under the sun (and then some!)

Impro (or “improv”) is the skill of making stuff up on the spot - think Whose Line Is It Anyway, or Thank God You’re Here. At Jim Jam’s classes you’ll learn tricks of the trade so you can get on-stage and create a whole play from a single word. It’s collaborative fun for everyone - the shy, the bold, the funny, the short!

We’ll learn the rules of each game, and then the interesting stuff begins: we’ll be looking at WHY the game works, how to make it fun, how to make it enjoyable for the audience, and what skills the game teaches!

Whether you’re a seasoned improvisor or a complete newbie, these classes are made for you! Come and play with the Jim Jam troupe; meet new people, learn new skills, have fun, eat biscuits!

(biscuits at every class!)

This week’s games:

  • Should’ve Said
  • What Was That?

This week’s class is on the 31st of May at 7pm (biscuit break at 8!) and will be held at the East Melbourne Library (122 George St, East Melbourne) - it shall run until 9, and then there’s a BONUS HOUR of open scene work!

Come once or come weekly; tell your friends or keep it your deepest secret; learn the skills to perform in shows or just do it for fun, it’s up to you!

We’ll see you there!
